Modem Help

I just got my computer back together recently. I am running Windows XP Home on it. When I plugged my ethernet cord into it, it was not recognized. I use Verizon DSL, and I am guessing I need the software to install the modem?

Check your device drivers, sounds like your ethernet drivers have not been loaded. If that device works fine go here:

If the device is working it should redirect you to verizons registration page IF you reset the modem, otherwise you should be able to connect as soon as you open your browser which is why I am betting on your drivers.

Yup, it was my drivers. I guess clicking "install all drivers" on my motherboard driver disk doesn't mean my PCI driver. I exploreded the disk and found the folder with the XP driver for my ethernet connections. Thanks again for the help.
