How to set up a dual boot system?
I've got an old Dell laptop with windows XP on it. I want to keep the XP, but also be able to boot windows 95. It has a 40 GB drive and I want to partition 10GB of that for the windows 95 os and programs. I would also like a boot menu at startup so I can choose the os. How the heck do I accomplish this?

wow with windows 95? thats tricky. i have done it with 98 but not 95.just reinstal xp and make a small partition off to the side. note that 95 won't let you access the files in xp. if you used fat maybe but probly not.

I thought 98 was the same as 95. they both use FAT32 file system while XP uses NTFS. I'm only installing 95 because I have programs that aren't NT compatable. Would they run in LINUX?

I had dosbox on a desktop last year. It crashed more than it worked. More trouble than its worth in my opinion. Mixing a program that crashes all the time with the most unstable os of all time doesn't sound fun to me.

hmmm, i wonder if you could do one of them virtual pc enviornments? the deals where its a whole computer but emulated in software? tbh, just build a p2 computer lol. thats good times. get the first ever sound blaster and a 3com nic and you shouldn't have driver issues.ill bet there is people who are on craigslist.org who have said parts and would be willing to part with them for dirt cheap.
