Ehh, I don't go to many LAN parties or stuff like that, so I wouldn;t need the handles. Besides that, I'm trying to make it looks more like the exterior of the car rather than give cues of the interior. An "Oh-****!" handle comes on most cars, so that's not really unique.
I'm going to attach the side vent today hopefully. Depends on when I get up. I'm going to work for another guy from 6-9 tonite. That reminds me, I have to go and make sure that that's not gonna put my over 40hrs this week. OT pay for someone making $9.50 an hour can put a definite ***** in your labor %'s real quick... I'm thinking of doing a mural on the back side. Probably of Deno's MK1 because let's face it, it's probably the ultimate MK1. I'm also making plans for a C6 Z06 case for my dad right now. That one will set some serious precidence.. |

Finally got my camera to work right, although not entirely... still got some pics that I now have to stage because it didn't wanna work right...
Ok, so I started with a normal and shiny new Antec NSK4400 case. ![]() ![]() A dam good case. High quality construction, easy to work with. Not gonna have to do much drilling, which is good. Also, lots of places to route and hide the wires. Another plus The first thing that I do every time that I start a new project's construction is to grab a mobo and start running wiring and everything. This gives me the most time and best opportunity to make sure that everything is done right and the best way. I've rerouted the wiring in my current box 4 times now I think because I didn't feel I got it right the first time. After this project is done, I'll probably redo it again. ![]() You can see the modular PSU that I added to help keep the excess wiring under control. These things are a godsend I tell you. Select and use only the wires that you need to. Good stuff. I plugged in one of the wires and used it to power both the HDD and CD-ROM. ONE CABLE!!! Plus I flipped the HDD around so now you can't see those ugly wires stickin' out the back of it. The one wire: ![]() I mounted the rad unit for the Aquagate Mini80 down in the front. I thought that it was kinda cool because the CPU sits roughly where the engine in the MR2 is and the rad is up front. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks it's cool, so I added a blue LED fan to help it bling. I'll be smoothing the rad oout and then polishing it later. ![]() I also added a blue CCFL in the face of the case. It has some vents up front that you can't really see to well (if at all) in the pics. This should add some lighting to the front of the case, but not so much so that it will really do anything to brighten up the room. ![]() Next was the biggest step yet. I cut the hole in the side panel for the vent. I'm going to try and attach it in the next couple hours (I haven't had any sleep and my friend just woke my ass up...) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Of course, more to come as soon as I can make it available. Right now this thing is sitting on my work bench in my room. I can't think of anything, for the life of me, to put on the back side, but I'll think of something, probably using the gas door idea.
I've also got a case with a waterfall in it that I'm trying to finish up. I just need to build the actual waterfall feature, a frame for it, and finish some bondo work and paint and it'll be done. I also had to replace the mobo in my Chevy case because I accidentally fried the original... Check in every two weeks or so to see what I've done with the project. Also, any ideas are always welcome, no matter how outlandish they may seem. |
