Nice runs, but I thought a V6 should at least hit 13s

Everyone says we should hit 13's or 12's. I am not a drag racer, my 60' times are crap; and I miss a shift most of the time; and I was on crap street tires. 14 flat, time after time with 3.8lbs of boost. I also tore the transmission away from the engine mount!
I now have sticky tires, a better fuel pump, LSD, and more seat time. Maybe the next time I'll satisfy the "shoulda" crowd. Poohhbear9044: Great runs. I look forward to more runs for both of us, and to the non V6 guys cutting us some slack. |

Lol....I thought my time as an NA V6 was fairly respectable, out of 4 V6's running that day I was the quickest and I also beat some turbo MR2's....obviously not quick enough

1. Not a wet track but a very strong headwind..everyone's times were a bit down.
2.It was a turbo rx-7 and I had him beaten up to the 1/8 mile marker ![]() Bob |

dont have any vids of mine but last time was a 13.3 with suckey 60's. I suspect wither better tires (15's street tires) and a new 3rd gear syncro the car should be a high 12. That with the 1mz on a 7lb pulley and s-afc tuned

Which iteration of the v6 are you running?

For an engine that came out of a low state of tune car like the Camry I think the performance is pretty damn good....it is way way quicker than the 3S-GE that was in there before and that was no slouch. So I'm happy to develop the car as an NA for now as I like the way the power is delivered and it is more than quick enough on the roads I mostly get to drive. Bob |

Hell as long as its fater than what was in there and ur happy then thats all that matters. I got a slightly built 3sgte and im putting in a 1mz vvti just because I love the power of my contour svt that the v6 has. The power is there in just about any rpm vs's the 4 cylinder waiting on boost, or just the fact even though its probably faster it just doesnt feel like it has the nuts the v6 in my svt does.
