Yeah i'm not worried about my setup not holding up. It's definitely up for the task

and yes, there is very much that big of a difference running at the track up here. my camaro trapped 107 here in colorado and 117 in st. louis. Nothing changed

Not sure which braided steel lines are on there, but if they are the EMSPowered ones they are already teflon coated inside.

Hmmm, interesting. I'm not sure where they came from. They were from the previous owner. All I know is they are black and have AN fittings on them.

If they are, then i'd be very tempted to throw on the extra fuel pump and go for e85 + nitrous!

Prolite 350 will hold up to E85 just fine. Hell, the stock lines will hold up to e85 for years.

MCS sounds right, they built the motor so they probably put those lines in as well. Teflon coated? I've heard from many that it will still be fine for quite some time and may never be noticed as doing any harm.

MDoe8,
Good luck with your hitting the 10's. I don't think I've seen one run 10's but low 12's here in Oregon. It'll be nice to know there will be one. I run in the mid 9's... (Ok, on my street bikes). Scary fast to think an MR2 would almost be as fast in the quarter mile.
By the way, I had an old MK1 that ran in the 17's stock and 14.7 on the juice (with a 70 shot). N2O=fun stuff! Keep us posted.

There are a lot of mr2's in the 10's and faster though. Check out youtube and you'll see quite a few!

I gotta give you props as well for doing this at altitude. Definatly adds that extra hurdle.

Yeah doesn't altitude suck!?

At least I've got a turbo helping me out, doesn't suffer near as bad as naturally aspirated. Still is considerably slower though.

Yeah, thats the one of the main reasons I boosted my 5s. Thing was gutless as crap any time I went up I70 or 285. Now I can at least keep speed and accelerate, rather than draging ass getting up into the hills

Well I sold the nitrous. Just didn't want to deal with the hassle of it. I'm going to be building an intake manifold here shortly and then just getting it running on the stock cams and see where I'm at. I would think that setup on race gas should be pretty potent!

DevinD - Do you have your old intake manifold laying around (the one you built)? Or did you take that one and tear it apart/rebuild it into the new one?

Mike, We'll be getting a complete tune done on an S256 car here shortly. It's a bone stock Gen3 with HKS 264 cams. No forged build or anything, just a stock motor. I'll let you know how it goes.
