Smt6 on a 3S-GTE?!
Hello guys!
I'm new here and also with the smt6 and would really need some help now! I have a -91 Mr2 turbo with the 3S-GTE engine and I have a bigger turbo, ported cylinderhead, steel gasket and injectors from a MKIV Supra(550cc) and I have installed the Smt6 with the instructions I got from perfect powers homepage! Yesterday me and my friend tried to get the car running better, because it runs now with all settings on 0,but it is running to rich and I also noticed that with the smt6 connected to the car it won't rev more than about 3600rpm! So now I wonder how you that have the same modifications done to your cars, done to get the car running smoothly, are the instructions from the perfect power homepage correct or have you got any better solutions and then finally,if anyone has got a map that could be suitable for the modification done to my car I would be very thankfull?! Can you post all your global settings on here? Did you put the resistor between the gnd (black wire) and the IGN IN on the smt6 unit?

Yes,but I have the smt6 installed on my other computer at work so I will have to go there to get the global settings, but I used the settings that was on the wiring diagram for the 3S-GTE and yes i put the resistor where it was supposed to be?! I would post the wiring diagram I used here but I can't find it on the perfect power homepage anymore

Ok everything checks out....the only problem i see is that in the IGNITION MAP on the right bar you have the IGN AMP set as 3....that advances timing more then you should be....that should read 1's down the column...
Can you send me the wiring diagram you used from PP cause i think the have it wrong... |
