I need to know some opinions from you tuners techs and guys who have used one or the other. I've read some on both and I've learned they both have a **** load of functions that I do plan on using. So here is what I need to to know dollar for dollar for the money. What would be the best product for a place with no dyno and would allow me to track tune a car. Also,it has to be nearly idiot proof (sailor proof) and simple enough to install in one day with little additional work. I know how important dyno's are for optimum tunning and so forth but there is no operating dyno in Guam right now and hasn't been for some years now. I know the Emanage in combination with the Profec E-01 is pretty bad ass. Also I know the SAFC2 Neo with the AVC-R isn't too bad either and is ALOT cheaper then the emanage combination. So how about it some input would help alot, thanks in advance.

Neither. They are both piggybacks. You are better off going with a standalone or a ROM tune.

the E-01 boost controller seriously messes with our electronics. not very smart to use that IMHO. i know many people use the blitz and HKS EBC's but they tend to screw up over time as well. the only EBC i would use is the profec B spec2. its the most reliable.
as for the emanage ultimate and the neo, the neo is good but using the fuel mapping function of the neo can be quite complex. when changing it from 0 to say -10 to lean it out (which is as far as i would ever concider going) you have to be careful that the FPR wont compensate for it. as such, with a stock ecu, even with the piggy back, the ecu can still pull timing when you are running too lean for the current conditions. the emanage ultimate is a great tuning device that i have tuned several boosted integras with, but never have i seen it on an MR2 and work properly. more specifically on a jdm ecu. f you want to do it right, pick up a power fc and datalogit (rickyb harness if you are using gen II) and do it that way. its the cheapest and its a great stand alone. if you have the money, go hydra nemesis or even accel DFI gen VII, ftw |

This is just in general and for right now it would go on my buddies B18C1 that is boosted and we are in the process of upgrading the setup. For me it will be used on my 3VZFE ECU to do some moderate tunning over stock. The thing you need to keep in mind is that we are doing this ourselves. There is no tuners,no dyno,no legitament shop to go to for help here in Guam. So I need a system that is that friendly and believe I would love to go stand alone but it's really price and way outside what we are trying to do.

O ok,that what I wanted to know and I'm sure having access to you guys would help me throughout the tunning process and setup. BTW..about how much of a PINA was it getting it installed and all ?
