Introducing EMSPowered's first group buy on MR2Board.
This group buy is valid through June 30, 2007 This group buy is for an intake leak tester. If you've ever had a boost leak or vacuum leak in your system you know how hard it is to track down the source. Intake leaks can overwork or even destroy a turbo and cause a rich or lean condition in the engine. To eliminate your intake leaks, simply attach this Intake Leak Pressure Tester to your turbo inlet and apply compressed air through the standard tire valve stem. You can listen for air leaks or spray soapy water in suspect areas - the soap will bubble if there is a leak. Machined from silver-anodized aluminum, these pressure testers are the highest quality tool available. Since they utilize a 3-ply silicone reducer and high quality stainless steel t-bolt clamps, you can pressure test your intake to very high pressure levels. Every Intake Leak Pressure Tester utilizes a 2.5" tester cap and a reducer to fit your turbo inlet size, so if you need to pressure test multiple turbos with different inlet sizes, you can just buy additional reducers. These can also be used on NA cars to track down vacuum leaks. ![]() The price for the group buy will be $37.50 shipped anywhere in the US. You can get these with a reducer to fit any of the following size turbo inlets (or TB inlets) 1.5" 1.75" 2.0" 2.25" 2.5" 2.75" (The Stock CT26 and CT20B turbo's will use this size) 3.0" 3.5" Last edited by baktasht; 05-16-2007 at 02:38 PM. |

For those that have a turbo with a larger 4" inlet, I can also custom order the proper reducer to fit your turbos. It would be an additional $9.50
Paypal payments should go to admin@emspowered.com Please make sure to note in your payment what size you need. Size options are listed in the first post. This group buy will end on June 30, 2007 Last edited by baktasht; 05-16-2007 at 02:38 PM. |

Quote:
* 2.5" machined silver-anodized aluminum tester cap * two t-bolt clamps of the proper size * 3-4 ply reducer in the proper size (size options listed in first post) The only people that would need pay anything more than the group buy price are those that require an extra large reducer for larger 4" turbo inlets. |

a few people have emailed me asking what the advantage is to buy this versus making your own with parts from the hardware store. The answer is that the ones people make with hardware store parts are made out of pvc pipe and soft rubber couplers along with probably som cheap worm clamps.
This is a solid machined aluminum cap, a 3ply silicone reducer(coupler), and strong tbolt clamps. now you're probably wondering what the advantage is. The cheap hardware store rubber couplers will start to expand around 8psi and eventually burst around 11-14psi depending on how well made they are. Also the pcv pieces that you glue together are really as good as your own craftsmanship. They may or may not leak. This leak tester, on the other hand can hold up to around 50psi of pressure without a problem allowing you to pinpoin even the smallest boost/pressure leaks. Hope that helps clear things up. |

Yes, what is pictured is what is included.
I can include a 90degree elbow at cost. I would assume that the pressure would be regulated by the compressor that you are using to supply the air. |

yeah but if you were doing it yourself, it would be annoying to run back and forth to the compressor to vary pressure. I find it helps to find leaks to vary the pressure and have a regulator at the actual leak tester with a 90 degree elbow. but i guess that's a convience thing

The 90degree elbow is easy, if anyone needs that I can include one at my cost. The pressure regulator I dont have access to.
