We now also have heat exchangers. These are not radiators or intercoolers being repurposed as heat exchangersor used parts from another car. These are actually brand new 100% aluminum and are designed to be used as heat exchangers for A2W intercooler setups.
24"x12"x1" * Only one inch thick, they cool water as close to ambient temperature as possible and are easy to mount in tight locations. * With eight strategically placed mounting points, they are easily mountable with the water inlet and outlet on either the left or the right. * All aluminum construction provides maximum cooling with water or antifreeze/coolant. * Water inlet and outlet are 1/2" NPT female threads, just like most air to water intercoolers. * These heat exchangers feature a fill/pressure cap on top and a drain plug on the bottom for incredible installation flexibility. * In case you wish to include a water temperature gauge in your installation, these heat exchangers feature a 1/8-27 NPT tap for a temperature sending unit. They ship with a plug installed in case you do not wish to use this feature. |

For those that were asking for more pics. I have some more pics of the heat exchanger and the large A2W intercooler. Here are the ones of the heat exchanger:

Shipment came in last night for everyone that ordered both A2W intercoolers and heat exchangers this week. They will be shipping Monday via USPS Priority mail. You should be receiving them by Thursday.
Still taking orders on these. The plan is to end this group buy on July 15th. |

Also, I didn't have time to pull the bumper on the test car today. But here is a pic to show the actual size. The heat exchanger is just a bit smaller than the OEM AC condensor. It should be a perfect fit.

Here are pics of the heat exchanger test fitted. Notice that the AC condensor is not there on this car. I guess it was removed at some point on this car. The AC Condensor fits directly in front of the radiator. Without the AC condensor (as seen in the pics) it is a perfect fit. With the AC condensor there it should fit fine as well, but I think it would require you to make a bracket to mount the bottom, basically just a two small L shaped pieces of metal for it to sit on.

I am curious, can you use that to replace the stock radiator or it's strictly for the A2W set up?

I would personally keep the stock radiator.

I got a 88SC, would the smaller intercooler be an efficient replacement for the stock Intercooler? And what level of difficulty is the install. Kinda nervous cause I have no idea about the water part. Where am I supposed to get water from? Plumb it where? |
