Sorry if I'm stepping on your toes, I have the best intentions and will remove this post if you feel it's infringing on your potential sales.
If you don't like the outer ring being above the black plastic bezel, it can be done with the Omori. The Omori can be installed so the outer ring sits behind the factory bezel out of view, leaving a factory stock looking Omori install. I have it done on mine, and it looks completely factory, save for the greenish back lighting. I'll take some pics when I go to the shop this weekend. -Scott H. |

![]() The omori gauge (and other similar ones) can definitely be installed to look as stock as possible, but the thing is that it requires quite a bit of work and cutting to get everything fitted. I know some people are comfortable with this level of work, but the majority of MR2 owners are not, and prefer an easy installation. Which is why we're trying to create a solution. But other than that, ya, I really like the way the Omori looks too. |

B.,
I think one that's back-lit with blue would be neat ![]() |

I was planning on making the omori intsal, but come up with an easier solution and I'm in. I do think the omori's color changing feature is really neat, though I don't know how often I'd ever play with it. I'd imagine it would increase the gauge's cost.

I was looking at the Omori solution as well, but didn't want to have to do any cutting/trimming/filing to get it in there. It would be awesome to have a plug and play solution. My vote is for Red to match the rest of my dash.
BTW, I ordered an EMS Powered IC kit for xmas last week. Should be here tomorrow - can't wait !! Tony D |

Any update on this gauge yet? I talked to J-spec Tuning since they carried Omori gauges and they said they were going to have new redesigned Omori gauges in stock beginning of January. They said the introductory price was going to be $110 shipped.
They said they are going to be using a thinner design and they would only be selling electrical boost gauges in 45mm. If you're going to have boost gauges that fit in the stock location relatively soon, I rather just wait and get it from you since I have no experience dealing with them. I really like the idea of having a boost gauge in the stock location, but at the same time, think that having the gauge a little bit higher (and saving ATLEAST $50 and having an easier install) to see it a bit easier when driving (specially under boost), would be somewhat safer than having to look down all the time. I think white as a background color should definately be an option. I'm no longer a fan of colored interior lighting, and would rather have a clear bright white. I dont think many people mind if its mechanical or electrical, but I think it'd be easier running an electrical wire to the engine comp then a vacuum hose. |

I am down to purchase one given the obvious assumptions that it will look and function nicely (like any other product of yours). I have the speedhut guages that switch from blue to green and I keep them constantly green. Matching is obviously prefered. Great idea on another product, thanks.

Still working on these. These will be an electric gauge for SURE. This product will be seen to completion. There is TONS of interest in this one, so I'm doing my best to see that we get this done as soon as possible.

I'll be running them on V6's - one turbo'd and one sc'd. Are you including your own sender unit? |

I would also like a nice clear white lighting to it, I am not a fan of various colored interior pieces.
Only thing else I'd consider is if we could have our whole dash look like the 98-99 MR2's. The black w/ red lettering that IIRC, lights the lettering and notches up, not just a white light pouring over the top. |

Hey, same here. This link gives a pretty good installation outline, especially in conjunction with the custom made gauge you're talking about. Installing In-Dash Boost Gauge - Page 1 |

We started with about 7 differnet manufacturers, and have no narrowed it down to two manufacturers who say they can do the gauge in the size/dimensions that we need to make this work. Currently I'm waiting on these two manufacturers to get back to me with estimated pricing and wait time.
