Problem with 5SFE Exhaust Installation

Just recieved the exhaust today, and took it to a mechanic for them to put it on. They couldnt get it to fit. The downpipe the was sent to me might be the turbo? I recieved two pipes, 1 of them has the the small pipe end to the big end (shorter), and the other pipe has two big ends (longer).

My mechanic couldnt figure out how to install it, he said that you might have sent me the turbo downpipes. Anyhow, are there instructions in installing this? I was sooo happy when i got the exhaust, unfortunenately it aint fitting . Please help baktasht! =)

You should have received 2 flex sections. The one that reduces down in size on one end is the one you need to be using. The other one is for a 3sgte/Turbo setup (we include it incase you 5sfe guys ever decide to go 3sgte ) Let me know if that helps.

I dont have any instructions written up, as its typically just a bolt in installation. Do you have aftermarket headers? If so, which ones? Also, any chance you can get a pic of the attempted installation and where the problem is? I dont have an NA car here, but I can try to have a local bring their NA by to test fit and take pics for you later this week.

i am assuming its stock headers. The flanges have 3 holes while the ones on the new exhaust downpipe only has two. For some reason, when he tried to put on the turbo downpipe on to the header it fits, but the same problem occurs, its too short.

So maybe I might have an aftermarket header? The stock header downpipe should be longer? I wasnt really sure when I bought the cars like 4 years ago :/.

Another option I might have to do is buy the EMS Powered headers.

I guess that means I am going to have to take off my stock headers and replace them, the stock headers have 3 bolts for the flex section, with the EMS power headers.
