This looks sick. No adapter plates like the other turbo kits you see (ATS, KO, Berk, etc.) and the price it right. Full stainless steel construction and a solid internal wastegate. Looks just as quality as the other guys' kits, just a lot cheaper .

How much PSI is your internal wastegate setup to hold before creep? Some (like the Berk GT28rs kit) kits w/ internal wastegates have been known to have creep issues because they weren't designed right. You taken this into consideration?

You should put up some more pics Tash...you know we all love pictures, haha.

Baktasht nice turbo kit! I love the fact that you don't require an adapter plate! Is there an option without a "divorced" downpipe? Also are there any dyno plots to give us an idea how this turbo spools and peaks?

ok ... time to save up some money.

There are two options for the wastegate actuator. Pressures listed in the first post. There will be no boost creep. I dont know why people in the MR2 community love to build bellmouthed downpipes that enclose the wastegate and then they wonder why there's boost creep. This kit is made right and will not creep More pics will be coming soon

No option for a normal non-divorced downpipe. Two reasons, a bundled downpipe/wastegate will boost creep on a turbo that flows as good as these, and you'll kill around 20-40hp if you go with a single downpipe that encases the WG dump. Dyno plots will be comin in the next few weeks. Might not be in time for this GB, but we'll get them soon.

Is this a different kit from the previous post? The other post says external wastegate and includes the custom exhaust manifold.

Are these two different kits?

Alright cool. Can you explain the differences between the two other than parts included? Price? Difference in power, spool times etc.?

Thanks

The high end kit that includes it's own tubular ramhorn manifold has not been put on sale yet. When it does, it will be around $3200.

The in this thread that this group buy is for has all the details listed in the first post. If you have specific questions give me a ring at 512 686 2800.

This is a quick dyno we did yesterday of the S250. Car was a 1991 Gen2 3sgte MR2. EMSPowered intercooler, Greddy PEx exhaust, and EMSPowered S250 turbo kit. Stock Ecu, Stock 440cc injectors.

Blue graph is on the wastegate only and held at a solid 12psi and made good power. Spool came a little late because there was no boost controller installed. Red graph is with a boost controller on there, but we had to cut the run short because we couldnt get the boost controller set correctly (as you can tell from the.

Thoughts: Look at the red graph, the spool is absolutely INSANE on this turbo. You get CT20b/GT28RS spool, but have the capacity to reach around 400rwhp. That is unheard of in any previous MR2 turbo kits. Keep in mind, these runs are on a completely stock, untuned Gen2 3sgte. With a proper tune, cams, and fuel mods you will see even better spool, and a lot more top end power.

Preliminary dyno testing for EMSPowered S250 turbo kit:

Update #1: Downpipes are almost ready. We're about 1 week out from being able to start shipping, so far we're right on schedule

Update #2: We've had an enormous number of requests from customers to have another version of our kit made that has a rerouted wastegate so that the wastegate does not dump to atmosphere. Seems to be mostly people that live in areas that have strict emissions policies or people that simply want to keep things a little quieter. We had a test unit fabbed up and we're able to do that as well. There is no extra charge for the rerouted version. Just let me know if that is the one you want and we'll get it on your existing order, or if you are placing a new order, simply make a note in the order stating you want the rerouted version.

Here are pictures of the new downpipe we made for the guys that don't want the screamer pipe that dumps externally. It incorporated a huge 1 5/8" wastegate. It is available as well for anyone that wants this version instead of the screamer pipe.

Also, the folks who have paid in full, I need you to contact me as well so that we can finalize the details of your order such as downpipe type, turbo trim level, etc...
