Solid idea, but too square/too rectangular. The squarish looks will not look right in my engine bay. A Round bar would have given more strength, plus would have looked better. I can't say the same for others, but I would have paid the extra for a round bar.

Good luck with the product

If you really want one with round tube we can do a one-off for you. But the production model that we are going to be selling to the public at this point will be as you see in the pictures, but cleaned up a little with cleaner wellds and a better finish.

I also think the square bar looks a little off.

now if It was round it be a great alternative to the TRD bar.

As stated previously:

With round tubing we would have needed some very custom "stamped" end plates that would have upped the cost by another $75-100. That would have put the bar out of reach for the majority of the community. In the end we decided on slim rectangle tubing, this helped us to keep the profile of the bar very thin while still maintaining an extremely strong structure. I'll have some pictures of a buffed one mounted up in a week or so. These are still a month or so away, just teasers for now. For those that have bought from us in the past, you're probably familiar with our "pre-orders". We no longer do pre-orders due to delays and our customers not being too happy about the delays, understandably. We'll be posting these for sale when they are in stock and ready to ship.

Also, the TRD bar is no longer available. And if you guys haven't been around long enough to know, the TRD bar causes clearance issues with most intercooler kits on the market.

The bar is not changing from it's current state unless there's something majorly defective that we find in the design. If you guys want round, and there's enough of you to do a batch of 20, we'll do it.

like some others have said not a fan of the square look but i do understand your reasoning.

id personally prefer round but since there is no round or trd bars available id def look into this... what is the rough price for this?

and what about for the one off round ones?

thanks in advance

Not 100% sure about pricing yet. I'll know once the first batch is complete and billed.

I'd be willing to pay for a round one too!

But if you decide to only make the square one I would still buy one.

Thanks for the teasers, it looks great. Aesthetics don't matter nearly as much as performance. The clearance for intercooler kits sold me, that's been holding me back from buying other bars. As always, I appreciate the great products.

Well, technically speaking round stock is stronger than square/rectangle stock, so wanting a round bar is not just looks, it also is a stronger, more ridged/beefy design. I'm not saying the square ones he's offering are bad, I'm just saying a round bar is more than just aesthetics, round stock is physically stronger than square

Tash, any news on the one off price for a round bar?

EMSpowered.com bars are the First suspension upgrades Ive done to my car. RIght after installing the final bolts, took it for a test spin around the street.

Less body roll, and you can feel the ridgidity (typo) of the bars on the frame. I have no complaints these look damn nice and clears my EMSpowered IC piping ... I need to upload pics soon, o wait LOL

Frank,
Yup, I have the first 10 units in. I am waiting on Mr2civic817 to post some pictures before we start selling them though. The prototype went on his car and we did a bunch of cleanup on his bay to get it pretty The bars are currently bare as well, so I need about 1 week to get them all buffed out. Hit me up in about 1 week and I should be ready to start shipping them.

I ordered an EMSPowered front bar from Twos R Us the other day (group buy sale)...I can't WAIT to get it. I love the way it was styled and hopefully the fitment is spot-on.

This rear bar would be my next purchase if I wasn't able to snag a TRD rear bar on the (relative) cheap.

Glad to see you're still in business Baktash. Hopefully the business restructuring will get you in good standing once again with your domestic and international customers because you REALLY have a worthwhile business. GOTTA find the money for your engine lid fan shroud in gloss black...I have a cool plan for it.

One suggestion though -- EMSPowered stamped on the bar? Branding branding branding.

I've never really been about getting our name stamped on everything. But you are right We'll look at getting the logo put on the bars in future runs. As we become bigger and more widely known, I see people from time to time selling items that they claim to be EMSPowered items that are not really our products. Kinda ticks me off

the only thing is how it looks, looks so bland compared to the TRD. although that can be fixed with a little work and paint

^^ Well, remember, Baktash IS going to be selling the completed version in a brushed polished finish to match the front bar...although I think a full mirror polish and an EMSPowered logo laser-etched across the connecting bar would make it look LIKE A BOSS

We've tried mirror polish on aluminum parts in the past. It's great for marketing and pictures to lure people in. But in the end, the polished look only lasts a few weeks, and then ends up looking old, used, and scratched up. Aluminum is too soft and just scratches way to easily. Instead we do a slightly different finish on all our parts now. It's approximatley 200 grit and it provides a very clean look that lasts a very long time without getting scratched up as easily as a mirror polished part.

Those of you that have mirror polished parts from other companies know exactly what I'm talking about
