small problem

Hey Baktash,
Awhile ago, I bought a bunch of stuff from you and last night I was trying to put on the NGK Spark Plug Wires you sold me. I don't think I got the proper set for the MR2 as the plugs that plug in to the distributor cap don't fit. In fact, when I looked closely at the box, it says its for an MR2 turbo, but that label is actually covering up an older label for some other cars, all of which are not toyotas... Basically, I just want the right wires. If you need me to send a copy of the invoice, I'd be happy to. I just want this cleared up cuz I finally got some time to tinker around and now I can't.

I sent you an email with the same message and some pictures.
Please help!

Thanks!
Ely

What was the order number (or your first/last name)? And what type/year motor/car are you trying to install them on?

Responded to your last one that you sent the pics with asking what part didn't fit on your car, or where you had fitment issues.

weird. I didnt get them and I've been checking the Spam folder. Can you resend?
Well, regardless, I can answer the questions here. The spark plug wire doesn't fit into the distributor cap. The wires pop out; their isn't a cap for them to hold on with/suction on.
If I'm just doing this wrong, someone let me know. As I understand it, the part with the long black tube, connects with the spark plugs and the other end is supposed to go with the distributor. Only problem
Looking around online, I think maybe I received a 5sfe set but the packaging says 3sgte on the back...

Here are the pics again.

Isn't this what it's supposed to look like? I found these from various online stores. (these are not what I have.)

Some have those little rubber boots, some don't. The rubber boots arent there to provide suction to keep them on, they're just dust boots. Make sure you're pressing them in all the way. The NGK ones that you ordered, have a double ribbed lip on them to keep dust/water out. Just a different design. But from the pics they're definitely the right ones. I have 3 more sets here and they look just like the ones you've received.

Ok. Can you show me a picture with this double ribbed lips actually installed, cuz I tried for a good 30 minutes to get just one on, and it wasn't going. It just kept popping out. I wanna see how it's supposed to go on cuz I must be doing something wrong.
thx

Unfortunately I don't have a Gen2 car or distributor here to do that. If they're not working you can send them back for a refund.

Wait, Gen 2? Do you mean mk2? I thought Gen2 referred to the engine type?
I have a 91 turbo 3sgte stock engine. It should work with that, right?

I mean the Gen2 3sgte (which is hte motor in your 91 turbo MR2). Yup, should work on that car. If they're not working for you though, you can return them for a refund.
