1987 mr2

Hey every one.............im new here....and i got a question?.....I bought my 1987 mr2 n/a about a couple of months back and its been running great.....But yesterday it started to knock really bad and it lost power and on the verge of blowing up....Im wondering what i should put in it and where to get a not cheap but cheap motor...thanks

I actually had that same problem a little over a year ago and i'm just now putting in the new engine. I found a brand new engine that has only had 12 hours of use when it was hooked up to a dyno machine. I got it off of ebay for $510.

I also have questions about a oil pumps on 1987 mr2 N/A. I can't figure out if in those years did have an internal oil pump?

positive displacement gear oil pump off of the crank pretty sure its the same system in all 4ag engines from 85-96
