farming a rebuild job

I was wondering if any of the member on the forum here own a speed performance shop or know of one that could import a JDM 4age engine(for the lower mileage as I can't find a low mile 4age in US), not the 20v engine( I will need this car to be CA emissions legal as I might move to cali in feburary or so) , for an 86 mr2 mk1 and would rebuild the car for me. I will have the funds for such a job in the next few months, and I do not have the time, tools, or place to do such a job myself so I was interested in farming such a job to a shop. I live in Austin, Texas and would be willing to tow the car to either San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Austin, and any of the small towns inside that triangle of state that Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio loosely form. I appreciate any feedback from our members here, yall have been great to me since I joined the forum. As far as the mr2 goes the only thing my car does not have in it now( from what I see) that is major is the head and everything that goes with the head( valves, cams, etc.) and intake manifold. I think that is what the car is currently missing( from what I know about cars ).

thanks guys,
Jeremy Andrew

I'm sure Monkeywrench Racing Home Page in Houston could help you out, but I've no idea on their prices for that sort of thing.

Look online for dyno tuning in the austin area. I'm pretty sure there is somebody who does that near you, but the name escapes me. They would have an idea for local shops.

Henderson Performance Technologies Location

New braunfuels dyno/speed shop. Website looks domestic focused, but they show a picture of doing a corvette swap, so I bet they could help you(and closer than houston, just go down 35).

Does mustang turbo installs, so they might be worth calling.
