Yes Sir.

It's as simple as that, An MK1 with a 3SGTE is a mk1.5.

Any more questions?

I Have personaly never done the swap, I know that compared to swapping a 4AGZE or 20V , The Mk1.5 swap requires a good amount of fabrication to the motor mounts amongst other things. Here's a rule of thumb with this particulair situation. . . . Do you have a bunch of money you want to invest in other people completing that swap or supplying certain parts? Or are you talented enough and do you posess al the correct tools to do the swap at home?
Because you will need one or the other to finish a MK1.5 swap, Actually if you search there is quite a bit of information already here.

i've had my mk1.5 on the road since may 2005. It has given me everything i wanted and more. Extremely reliable and even better fuel milage than my 160whp modded sc motor put out.

Working on the engine is not any harder than an sc, in fact many things are easier to change.

Mine is currently at 305whp and torque is at 281 at the wheels. At 19.4 psi with just the basic bolt-ons.
