Thanks for the oozing sarcasm, you didnt mention the fact that the car wasnt really worth making streetable without essentially completely restoring. If this is in fact ment to be a track car than, as I have stated, go for it. It is your car, but I think for the same cost the 4A-GE could be easily put in the 3-400 hp territory, without worrying about engine swaps and fabbing mounts.
But different strokes for different folks I guess, if you actually complete this project I would even give you props on it, seeing as most people that tend to talk about this kind of thing never see it through to completion. |

Sorry about all the sarcasm. And yes I could prob put the 4age into the 3-400hp range or even do one of the many other typical swaps that are out there, but then it wouldn't be nearly as fun. Besides if I ever decide to go all out its relitively easy to push the busa to 700hp as opposed to trying to stretch the 4age to 3 or 400 hp.
Despite all the sarcasm I do respect and appreciate all of your comments and concernes. At times it allows me to think through problems I have yet to think of my self. |

The only thing slowing down the project right now is that the wife says I have to get the scout sold first. I'm only allowed one project at a time now. So I'm continueing to do my research and do all the little things I can to prep for the swap.

I have to say I find the idea very interesting. I will sub to the thread to monitor progress and wish you the best of luck. Thought crossed my mind to see how your project went then follow. However after further review the idea is still great, but he end results wouldn't be worth the investment for me.
So sell the Scout and finish the project. Everyone is dieing to see it completed. If completed and the dyno readings are correct should make for a killer autox car. Just have to keep it rev'd up. |

Very cool, But I have to back up the weights on the 4ag. Shipped many c56's & 4ag long blocks & loaded blocks so I can confirm what everyone already told you.

Well guys and gals, I still haven't sold that d@mn scout. Plus I had to spend some $$ just to keep the OLD 4a running in the meantime. But I haven't given up on the dream yet. I will be moving in the next few months so everything is still on hold. Speaking of which I gotta start looking for all you guys that are up in the Kansas City area.
