I am pretty sure the blacktop is too big for the mk1 engine bay, it is for the mk2 bay.

20V black top will fit
you wont need the power steering and if you use your trans with the starter on the exhaust side then you will need to to a bit of handy work the make the exhaust fit. I was fortunate and my black top came with custom headers that missed my starter. MR220V does a plug and play harness and although i didnt get it i would say you should as wiring is the hardest part. does it come with wiring and ecu? they are a must. |

You need the ECU or you are dead in the water. No ECU = no paddle, big creek, high water, you get the drift.
The 16 valve ECU won't work as it needs to control the VVT. |
