Engine Questions ?

Ok i just ok a 4ag engine from a salvage yard and was wondering what suggestions you guys might have in terms of doing to the engine while its out of the car and what precautions i should take in getting it running?

if your not rebuilding it at least change the timing belt,water pump and any other parts that could be bad but would be too dificult to change when the motor is in the car.

nope havent gotten it in yet but later today im getting the rear seal and the timing belt replaced.
