Ok so i bought a gen 3 3sgte turbo rear clip and had the pros swap it in for me.. i get it back and now when ever i press hard on the gas and try to juice it my car goes like 5 mph and puteers real bad... a local hooked uomething up to do a vacume test and notices that my blow off valve was leaking so they fixed the leak but it didnt fix the problem.. the shop that swaped it put in a walboro fuel pump and said it was a Rising fuel pump.. =/ but now to get the pump and all that checked out im getting charged another 80$ ffor diag ;(

the car seems to drive ok when i drive it like its a slow stock mr2 mk1 but thats not why i paid to put in a Gen 3 3sgte turbo! so can some 1 please help ;(

please help! if you have any ideas i can share with the shop to have them check it out plz let me know!

Off topic: What did it cost to have the pros swap the engine? Labor & Parts break down if you have it.

On topic: This is a good place to post, but I'd also recommend throwing up a post in the MKII section since you now have a 3SGTE, you're kinda in between the two models (1.5). They would most likely have a lot more knowledge in regards to their engine.

For 15k they should have replaced every little nut and bolt and bushing in that car. That's just my opinion but 15k in one of these cars is a bit expensive. And also for that price, they shouldn't charge you for diagnostics. That should have been part of their job, making it right before you coughed over the money.
