Problem after 3sgte swaaap!
Ok so i bought a gen 3 3sgte turbo rear clip and had the pros swap it in for me.. i get it back and now when ever i press hard on the gas and try to juice it my car goes like 5 mph and puteers real bad... a local hooked uomething up to do a vacume test and notices that my blow off valve was leaking so they fixed the leak but it didnt fix the problem.. the shop that swaped it put in a walboro fuel pump and said it was a Rising fuel pump.. =/ but now to get the pump and all that checked out im getting charged another 80$ ffor diag ;(
the car seems to drive ok when i drive it like its a slow stock mr2 mk1 but thats not why i paid to put in a Gen 3 3sgte turbo! so can some 1 please help ;( please help! if you have any ideas i can share with the shop to have them check it out plz let me know! every thing was stock from the rear clip i bought |

Off topic: What did it cost to have the pros swap the engine? Labor & Parts break down if you have it.
On topic: This is a good place to post, but I'd also recommend throwing up a post in the MKII section since you now have a 3SGTE, you're kinda in between the two models (1.5). They would most likely have a lot more knowledge in regards to their engine. |

For 15k they should have replaced every little nut and bolt and bushing in that car. That's just my opinion but 15k in one of these cars is a bit expensive. And also for that price, they shouldn't charge you for diagnostics. That should have been part of their job, making it right before you coughed over the money.
