I've got an 86 mr2 and I'm currently taking a break from the engine and transmission rebuild and concentrating on redoing the body from the ground up, so my question is, when removing the front bumper cover I noticed that it is completly rotted out:shocked:. Now I was wondering what aftermarket front bumpers there are available for the gen 1 mr2, the only one I could find is one from somebody called Vfiber for $140 plus $245 shipping to my work. The bumper would need a little modification done to it as well, I'd have to cut it back since it wraps around the fender wheel wells and shave off the stupid vents on it. Is Vfiber a good company or not, has anybody dealt with them or is there any other options for a gen 1. also has anyone tied the front stub frame to the rear stub frame with steel roll cage tubing because I was thinking about doing that and in turn building a solid base for a cage to be built on because my big worry is twisting the car because of the added horsepower of a heavily modified 3sgte.
