So everyone knows I've been working on my V6 swap. Well...I finally got everything done. So the big moment came to start her up...and she didn't run. She cranked/turned over just fine. After a quick diagnosis we determined that the problem was with the fuel system. Here are the tests I ran and the conclusions:

1. Voltage to the Fuel Pump - works fine.
2. Continuity between the MAF and the COR (circuit opening relay) - Check
3. Continuity between the COR and the Fuel Pump - Check
4. Continuity between the EFI relay and the COR - Check
5. Voltage to the EFI relay - Check
6. Voltage to the Fuel Pump (while cranking and on) - Failed
7. Voltage to the COR from EFI - Failed
8. MAF operation - Check
9. Voltage to MAF - Failed
10. Voltage to ECU - Check

So after messing with the wiring trying to figure out what is going on (car will run for about 5 seconds if I prime the fuel pump...then it dies), I came up with nothing. I tried rewiring a few things to get voltage to MAF and no dice. I also triple checked all the wiring and made sure the COR was wired up correctly. Anyone know why the MAF isn't sending a signal to the COR to keep the fuel pump on, or simply why the COR won't keep the fuel pump running??? Thanks guys

94 Lexus ES300 engine?

I've found a local Lexus es300 complete parts car for $700. At least, that's what the ad says. I'll know more once I get there. If I see 3VZ on the engine block I'm just going to buy it.

However, assuming I get there and the car is in fact a 1994 and does in fact have the 1MZFE engine - why aren't these engines recommended? (per the sticky).

I've searched but come up with not a whole lot to go on.

Thanks in advance!

So I have all but givin up. i started this swap earler this year. From a 5sfe to a 3vzfe. I removed the 5s and placed in a good 3vz i got the wiring harness made from phoenix tuning, thanks for the help, and the thing wont start. It wont even turn over. I Have replaced the ignitor and coil i beat the starter. I hooked up a battery directly to the starter to see if it was just the starter that was bad and the thing turned over like a champ. the fuel lines are hooked up and I dont know what else to look at to try to get this motor to turn over. I really need some advise. the last ditch option is to take it to a shop to just finish up although i would have liked to have finished it myself.:confused:
