I was scammed out of $250 from this guy. And another member of this board was scammed out of $400 from this person as well. He's referred to himself as Michael Utkin, Misha Utkin, and probably other variants of that sort. He resides in Atlanta, GA so anyone in that are, please be careful.

This person has been feeding me BS for the past 2-3 months. At first he claimed to have shipped out the wheels, then claimed it got lost and was notified as such by USPS. But in reality, he never shipped out the rims. I was browing this website and he put his car up for sale. Brian hill asked him a couple questions for me about the wheels and basically that's when he figured out that I caught on to him. He sent me an apologetic email (after having his BMW repoed) saying that he was sorry for what he tried to do and would send me a full refund. Well a week later, I got a money order for $150 and he said he'd get me the rest on his next pay day. Well, 2 months later he starts giving me BS about losing his job, no internet, etc etc. And now his email is non existent.

I still have his address from the return address (and from Brian's help when he did a favor for me by making a LONG trip over to his place to pay him a visit...) so i'm thinking about paying him a visit eventually...but I do'nt have any break from classes til next month

The other gentleman that paid for the SAME wheels in question never got ANY money back from him.

I used to have his phone # but I misplaced the paper that i wrote it on, wish I could call him up...

Anyways, I think he's still trying to sell his mr2 (with the same rims that he sold to AT LEAST two different people) so people if you see it, don't buy from him, he's crooked and I hope karma catches up to him.

Also wanted to say thanks again Brian, can't thank you enough and when I get back on my feet with a new job (been in between for the last month) a % of that refund is definately going to be donated to this site for all it's help.

So anyways...I just wanted to give everyone a head's up. Brian had asked me to write this up some time ago, but i'm just not getting around to it.

Thanks for the heads up....I hate dicks like this . Happens more often than you think though, people are crooked and advise for everyone: Pay with paypal and make sure you do some background on the guy. Some guy w/ 4 posts usually isn't the best candidate to trade with. Some guy w/ a couple thousand and 2-3 itrader ratings is prob. pretty safe.

I don't know any info about his car, he tried selling the car here sometime late last year. He edited those threads to delete all the info, but the car was on ebay before then (which i think is where he bought it from). If ebay hasn't deleted the page yet, i'll try and post it here when I find it.
