I got the refund today and to be honest I did not plan for it to turn out like this "HOWEVER" like I said there are a few things that happened during this transaction that could have helped it happen ALOT smoother. Needless to say its done and I have been refunded. MEKKAFIRE as I said before no hard feelings but the way thingd where going I didn't know what else to do. So like I said I was trying to keep from losing my ass on this one. MODS I suppose you can do with this post as you see fit.

Yeah guys, better not do business with me. Im a huge scammer, as its quite clear to see after this thread... Despite the fact of course that the ~40 other customers ive sold to have all walked away extremely happy.
I dont have much left to sell anyway. This is why i love forums. I already agreed, yeah i messed up withdrawing the money from paypal before i shipped the part out. I didnt anticipate that it would cost 300 dollars to ship it to Guam. Quote:
If you would read the thread, you would clearly see why i didnt take "4 minutes" to refund the money. And yes, ill stop going to work and college, you're right. Quote:
Note to self: Dont sell to you. If you cant understand that i work, and go to school like normal people, and that im not Walmart and cannot issue immediate on-the-spot refunds for unexpected changes, then i wouldnt reccomend you to any seller. Part of doing business on the internet (all forms) is trust. I DID email him, every-single-time he emailed me (which a lot of people wouldnt do), reassuring him the dates that i would refund his money. The date never changed, it stayed the same. And if you showed up at my house or place of business, you would have wasted a lot of gas or money on a plane ticket, as i dont typically carry $300 dollars in my wallet. Please, if youre going to type a response to this thread, put some thought into it. Wasting my time spelling out clear-cut obvious facts for people who are out to slander my name gets tedious. The rundown *I shouldnt have pulled the money before shipping the package. *I gave him the exact day that i would pay him back. Ignoring this fact, he continued to dispute the charge in paypal and create this thread. I have a paypal receipt for the refund. *Unless you have walmart-like shipping and refund capabilities, i would not reccomend blackbob as a buyer. Or "Jakobe" for that matter. |

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that blackbob resides in Guam stationed in a branch of the US forces (don't know if it's Air Force, etc.). If that's the case, shouldn't a seller be able to ship to him through a APO zip code? I've done this with Phoenix, who live in Japan, more than once. I only pay for shipping to some place in California... your tax dollars get it across the Pacific
If this had been considered, perhaps this entire situation would never have happened.

I would have, but I was being so rushed to send the package that I just dropped it off at my shipper and told him to bill me later.
Honestly, that part of the situation is his own fault. I was cornered--either delay him longer by dragging the exhaust to the shipper, getting a quote, dragging it back, telling him the quote, listen to him badger me to send it 40 more times during said events... Or.. Drop it off at my shipper, tell him ill cover the costs (it was $50 to ship it to hawaii, and i figured it couldnt possibly be more than that to somewhere considered US). So which should I have done? Risk him posting a thread about me being some huge scammer (which he did anyway, obviously) or be a nice guy and offer to cover any extra shipping costs after $50? Man, im such an *******. And about that US sation thing, i have no idea on anything having remotely to do with that. Im relaying what my shipper through Federal Express told me when he put the address in the computer. |

If he gave you a FPO AP with a unit number then its a military address and the cost would only cover to Cali where the military postal system takes it over from there. If its a regular street address then yeah it may have cost 300 or whatever. I know in my friends case where he was going through a divorce he got divorce papers over nighted to Japan to his apartment and it cost a little over a 100. If that hooker would have sent it through the military postal system it would have taken 3 or 4 weeks. I'm guessing the dude wanted his exhaust quick so he would have given you the regular street address to his apt or house in Guam and yeah it cost 300 because it is international shipping. I dont know why everybody is still on your ass about this. You both made mistakes and learned from it. It would be nice if there was someway that sellers could leave feedback from buyers.

you post on this forum quite often so it is very apparent that you have free time. before you made a deal w/the buy you should have called ups on your lunchbreak or sometime and get a pricing quote.
your getting all pissed off, when you were partially responsible for getting everythign figured out before payment was sent. chill out and accept partial responsibility |

No need to ride his ass anymore guys. He made the situation right. While it could have gone better on both sides of the fence, what's done is done and I think they have learned from it.

I concur....regardless of what happened, you were not practicing very good business. Hope you take it as a lesson learned. Glad to see everyone has their cash and such back
