DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS!!!

ok so any one who has read the post titled IM PISSED!!! knows the situation. i purchased a 3sge 3rd gen that was clearly labled as from an mr2. i called and called to verify this point because i knew that i was going to need the mr2 harness or i would have major problems. so i get the engine unwrapped and its not from an mr2. everything is wrong. so i call them this morning and they tell me well its not there fault because anyone who knows anything about mr2's could tell from the pictures that its not even though they labled it that way. so they basicly refuse to do anything so i am basicly screwed now. the company is called JDMENGINEDEPOT on ebay. so just a fair warning to anyone looking to buy from them.

Sorry to hear about that. This is just gonna make your swap a little longer and a little more expensive, but look on the bright side. You'll appreciate it much more when you're done with it.

Oh yeah and if you don't keep it...you have to get them bastards back. Their excuse was just plain stupid.

complain to ebay..clearly state what you got was not what was listed..they will investigate..if that doesnt work dispute the credit card charges from paypal.

that will get their attn.

I had to get ruff with an ebay company who sent me the wrong parts for my 2..they fit but looked nothing like the picture. they were the wrong item plain and simple, but the guy would not swap them.

so i built a small website about him and what I though of his company and put the url in the feedback on ebay

something like

check this out dub dub dub this guy sux dot com

after he saw that he refunded my money within a couple weeks

all hope is not lost, complaining to ebay will produce results it just takes time

since it was purchased through ebay, you can dispute it, because the Item discription was wrong thats not your responsability its the sellers, Ebay will be on your side.

thanks everyone. i called them back about 30 min ago and after litterly yelling back and forth for like 15 min, the guy said that he will look into what he can do. hopefully he will be a respectable buisness owner and do what is right. i doubt that he will get me another engine because they are so hard to come by but i am hopeing that he will just refund my money so that i can find one somewhere else. i have already talked to mindy at phoenix motorsports or mr2 guru or whatever there name is(lol no offence, i just cant think right now) and she seemed very willing to help me find either a harness if this company doesnt resolve the issue or getting me a correct swap if they do.

I forgot to mention that after my complaint to Ebay they suspended his account.

I had to build the site in order for him to pay me the $$ back instead of shippng me the correct item..(I no longer wanted to do business with him
after what he knowingly did, he didnt deserve a sale)

I think he may have had a couple of ebay ID'S so i dont think he was completely shut down.

this whole process took about 2 weeks

DO NOT WAIT COMPLAIN TO EBAY TODAY!

but remember, there is a huge cost involved of shipping that engine back , a cost the vendor probably wont want to swallow.

so maybe they could send you the right harness and what not to make that engine work..because it is indeed the right type engine just the wrong wires and stuff right?

many times i have recieved items damaged from shipping that were purchased off ebay..I complain to the seller and many times they send me a new one or refund my money without wanting the damaged item back
(too costly to ship back)

and I request them to refund what I originally paid in shipping to ship the item back.
this amount is typically jacked up from the actual shipping cost to add a few bucks in their pockets.

so i got a call from him and i guess i was quick to jump the gun. he is sending a fedex truck to my house to pick it up, he is paying the return shipping, and is going to refund my money (or so he says, i guess we will see). the only thing that i am not going to get back is the 160 bucks that it cost to ship to me. kinda expensive just to look at the engine i will have in my 2 but thats part of life i guess. i guess what really angered me is that he said it was my fault for not knowing that an mr2 doesnt have a power steering pump and that he was not going to do anything. then after he finally agreed to help, he told me to just swap all my accessories over and use my old harness. it took another 10 min to explain to him why that wouldnt work. finally he gave up and said that he would take it back. i guess we will see. ill keep everyone updated.
