All up in my kool-aid, wtf is that? Yeesh. Even if he's in the right completely, what an unprofessional and immature way of handling the issue. I wouldn't risk dealing with him after his responses. He could have just said his piece politely, and left it at that.

See? Now there's one less future customer this guy has to worry about!
do you even read? have you read what i've said in-response to anyone who was being negative other than the OP? i WAS being nice until blown decided to try and get 'all swole up' about things. that, along with the kool aid comment is called a colloquialism. in other words, i was using slang in order to portray a particular feeling about the situation.

to the OP, i told you i'd send this check back. why don't you tell all of your coat tail riders how much money has REALLY exchanged hands. why don't you ask your in laws about whether their precious (OMG) cheque has been cashed. yes, i was mailing this thing back. yes, i intend on it, but i go t to thinking...why would i send it back regular mail when i should have it receipted. that way you couldn't go on your little rants and say you never received it. i also got to the post office and saw lines for the holiday season. you aren't worth enough of my time, let alone the $2.85 to send this thing to you at this point. so, while we are on our little rants and posting PRIVATE messages, maybe your loyal readers should know that your mantra is "I WILL CONTINUE TO PESTER YOU". i still contend that no money has changed hands. keep your shirt on.

i'm just sending the check that was sent to me for payment. sorry this didn't work out.

anyway, i had boxed-up the vent as i promised and dropped it off in my warehouse (at work) and they were supposed to ship it for me. unfortunately i had gotten a bit of flu the next few days and somehow the shipment info or whatever had gotten lost and they didn't know what/who/when, etc the 'mystery package' was for/from. we got it shipped todayLIE and i will have tracking info for you. sorry about that! i did finally get the check and i haven't cashed or deposited it yet. again, sorry for the misunderstanding or whatever. i know, my bad! i'm already weird enough when it comes to buying anything online because i am terribly paranoid at times. again, sorry for the hold-up!

again, what is your problem? when i go to the shipping place myself, i assume that a package is shipped when i drop it off. i explained to you that i brought the package to the warehouse to be shipped on the assumption (yours and mine) that it would cost a few dollars to ship. it cost $.15 cents less than what you sent. i then told you i wasn't going to sell at that point. get over it. i won't sell you the vent for that much (little) and i have not cashed your in-laws' cheque. done. i could really care less how much you would like to "pester" me. smear me all you like. get over yourself and realise that your online tantrum is quite amusing to me.

I'm not trying to get up "in your kool-aid," but since this argument is public postings on both sides...

Regardless of who is in the right and who is in the wrong...Just send him the check back. You want him to stop bothering you about everything, and having the check returned is all he wants at this point. You said it's $2.85 to have it sent back to him registered mail/signature required. I'd think it's worth it, just so this whole mess is over for good, everyone shuts up and no ones name continues to get dragged through the mud, etc. $2.85 to get this thing sent back and end this seems worth it to me. I'd send it back, call it a day and say lesson learned. It's better than continuing a public drama.

Anyways...that's my thought...take it or leave it...as I said, I'm not trying to get all up in your or anyone else's kool-aid.

ToyotaTechGeek accepted terms, accepted payment, told the buyer the item had been shipped (when it hadn't), now won't ship, and won't even return the payment ............. wow.

You're in the wrong, TTG. Fix it.

read further, clue. it said (by OP) that the assumed price for shipping was around $4. i assumed maybe $5. you would sell whatever you sell for $.15USD? he keeps ranting about principle when in-fact he also was wrong. don't even give me crap about not returning. if i ripped the cheque, burned it and pissed on the ashes it would amount to the same thing to me as sending the thing back by certified mail. i refuse to stand in-line for this at this point in time. why don't i drop it in the regular mail? because this fool would claim (somehow) it didn't get there. so, receipt it is. NO MONEY HAS EXCHANGED HANDS. read for comprehension or learn how to.

Unfortunately a complete lack of tact has resulted in nothing more than a $15 disaster. A thread like this shows that there is a lot to be said about good communication skills.

Doesn't matter. you agreed on a price. Then you accepted payment - regardless of whether you cashed the check, you still accepted payment. your acceptance of payment is further evidenced by you telling the buyer that you shipped the item, even though that was a lie.

A responsible seller would've sent the item regardless of the lack of profit because the deal was made.

What do you think happened when I underestimated the shipping cost when shipping mr2board shirts to Australia? Did a thread like this get started? No, I shipped the friggin shirts anyway and ate the cost.

Apparently, the cost of alienating an entire community is ~$10.15 USD.

accepting payment would have been endorsement of the cheque. how could i not 'accept' the payment? it was mailed to me. are you a vendor? i think yes. am i? no. the deal was made on an assumption on both sides. lesson learned. but will i succumb to others' banter regarding so-called (implied) ethics? no. why? because others are not held to the same said rules when subjectified. i tried making this an nice, easy, 'i'm sorry', yet the buyer chose to ensue. sorry, i don't lie on my back for anyone. i don't expect anyone to do the same for me.

the insinuation here is that i've somehow taken this guy's money, stuck it in my pocket and wheeled-out. nope. i've got a course-of-action in-mind, but it will have to wait until after i arrive home.

No, I'm not a vendor. I don't sell anything besides shirts, and that's at zero profit.
I help with the shirts because a local shop gives me excellent prices which I can pass on to board members.

You're lying on your back for the entire board right now. Every time you post, you spread your legs further. I'm surprised you can even type ethics.

I not only wouldn't buy anything from you; I wouldn't even sell you anything.

Good job.
