Thumbs up MR2 community = awesome bunch of people!

Guys, our parts department at Lithia Toyota of Springfield has reached a couple of major milestones lately. The biggest one for me is that we now sell more parts to MR2 owners than we do to walk-in customers!

People here may not realize it, but my time is split between email, calls from MR2 owners, local repair shops, walk-ins, new car buyers looking for accessories, and trying to help the service advisors and technicians. My goal is now to sell enough MR2 parts that we can justify hiring someone else to run the front counter while I take care of you guys. The more MR2 business we do, the more likely that is to happen, and the better I can serve you in the future. It would mean faster response time from me, and a lot less stress and overtime, if there was someone else here to answer phones and take care of walk-ins.

Feedback points help too. I try to leave one for every buyer as soon as I finish that sale. Right now I have 49 points, but I have left 88 points for buyers. If you have done business with us recently and were happy with your purchase, please leave me some positive feedback if you haven't done so yet!

When we started this back in 2005 I never guessed we would see this kind of growth. I am really proud of what we have built, and it is all thanks to the loyalty and continued support of a community of very cool people! It is time to publicly say THANK YOU to all of you!

Thanks Zai - I will try to make it. Been fighting a bit to get motivated this year (too much stress, not enough social life, health problems, bills etc) but I think I will be there!

Bah! That's not my main point, Ken. My main point is that this has been an incredible community to work with (or work for), and I really feel honored and blessed to have this kind of support!

Again, THANK YOU ALL!

Now all we need is support for all those items that don't appear in the US parts catalogs...easier said than done I guess.

You're not kidding. While Toyota does keep some parts in stock in the US (20V and GenIII gasket kits, timing belts, tune up parts, etc), there are still a lot of things I can't get.
