Problem with Transaction with OnyxAltezza

Hey,

I'm having a problem with a transaction here on the forum. I purchased TOM's replica sides from user OnyxAltezza on 02/18/09. I have yet to receive these side skirts and I have been trying to contact OnyxAltezza, but his last contact was a private message on 02/25/09 (see below). He never provided me with shipping numbers.

I opened a Paypal buyer dispute today in which I told him that he has until 03/21/09 to provide me with valid shipping numbers or a refund or I will escalate to a full Paypal dispute.

I know there is not a lot people can do here, but I would appreciate any advice. I've checked the shipping address sent to him and it was correct. I know he is selling that wing in the MK2 FS forum so at least others will be alerted.

I also sent him several emails via the forum here, is there any way to view sent emails?


Below is the complete log of PMs between him and I. I sent him several emails and warned last week that he had one week before I opened a dispute and posted here in the feedback forum, but he has not responded.

I realize there could be extenuating circumstances, but I have no way of knowing this. I hope it is all a misunderstanding.

Hey I have Toms replica sides...primer black and have only been on my car for 2 weeks..not evne driven much.

The stepfins are included, and most sides for sale dont include them.

Im asking $200+shipping for them...

As for the spoiler, I have a brand new 98 wing replica if you're interested, fits well also. The toms are also 90% perfect fitment..

I take paypal, but do you have an account with UPS or FEDEX that you want me to use in shipping? Or just ship it and charge u the cost? The wing is $250+ shipping, but if u buy both the wing and sides I have no problem selling both the sides and wing at 230+ shipping for that...

Gotcha, the box I am shipping in is sized 72x5x22, with approx weight of 15-20lbs. What is your zip code?

Those are pretty much the only pictures I have. The mountings holes were off when I got them, so I redrilled new ones. The side moldings hold them on fine, the ones that go right about the engine side vents by the intake and intercooler.

This is the last notice I will send. I still have not received the side skirts. If you do not provide me with shipping numbers or refund my money I will take action to get my money back.

There hasn't been any communication from him since that last PM on the 25th of February. I gave him a week ending tomorrow before I initiate a Paypal dispute.

I don't have any experience with these "Paypal disputes," any advice? I don't really see how this will ever get resolved if he doesn't reply?

Honestly, should I just give up and eat the $255?

not really, you should get your money back is what i think. But maybe try to contact him through someone he knows on this site, Davis, you seem to know him, would you be able to give him a call or something?

It could conceivably be a jacked account (it happens on ebay, why not here?) or a coincidence ie, the part got caught in the mail somewhere or lost in the mail, while he for some strange reason went to africa for a safari, OK bad example but you get the idea

OnyxAltezza was going through some personal matters and I have received my side skirts. This should not tarnish his record as a seller on the forum.
