Has any one else got scammed by this guy and his site?

I place an order last week for some inspector panels(engine side panels), and his site goes down a few days later...
I've made several attempts to get in touch with this guy but he as failed to respond back to any of my emails or pm.

CarBen Fibre Creations

Looks like the site is back up again... Ben is a good guy I wouldnt worry. if you can pay extra for a quicker method of shipment. The econo international takes way 2 long.

We are a genuine company who have had some small issues with our web hosting, you have to understand when this happens that our priorities change and all efforts are made to get the site backup and running. We are getting back up online now and your item is being shipped today it will take anywhere up to 6 weeks to be delivered depending on the postal service when it leaves the country.

Please DO NOT state that we are trying to scam you one simple post like this can destroy all the hard work I have put in setting this business up.

Thanks
Ben

Well i am sorry for the hostile attitude, but can you see the position i was facing, the respectable onset of fear that i just got played for my money.

Placing an order and then you and your site where it accepted my payment(charged me), outta of the blue,(from my prospective at lest)you just seemed to drop off the face of the earth a day or so later with my money but with no confirmation that any thing was shipped.

Further more i did make several attempts at contacting you, however as you say(technical difficulties)prevented you from receiving any of those emails.

I don't know why you couldn't just jump on line at some point and give the people that placed any orders with you a little more feedback as to what was going on until the site was backup.

Could i have stated what i said in the first post more fairly, and still aired my concerns? More than likely yes, however i was in a position that i thought was going to be screwed at some angle so i was a some what heated.

I've dealt with Ben before and have had no problems. He's a very standup guy and has great quality products. As with any custom products, a lot of times things are not sitting on the shelf waiting to ship. They actually have to be made. Not sure if that's the case here or not, but give the guy the benefit of the doubt first and give him a chance to respond.

I understand where your coming from I do but once my email/website down there are no backups and due to the hosting company not having a backup sever I have been offline for the past few days trying my hardest to get everything back online to contact people.

At the end of the day its no harm done we have both lost a little time due to this unfortunate incident, your package has been shipped and it should be with you in around 6 weeks or so.

I hope once you have the product you can post something up here saying you have received it ok and that will stop any bad reports and comments towards my business.

I'm not on a personal crusade against your company or any thing, so long as it all works out that is(it seems more promising now).

I have no problems taking some photos and making a write up of your product once it arrives.

Too bad you can't make exterior C-pillars (in carbon fiber or paintable fiberglass) for the Mk1. You'd probably make a small fortune!

This brings up a question i had, since you use the single pattern carbon fiber as the layover, do you rotate it so that they are facing outward in direction to make a v shape like this \ / or do you just keep them the same like this / /

The carbon is laid flat over the fibreglass panel and cut where needed so when looking at it from the top the weave is straight all the way down

There are more photos here: CarBen Fibre Creations - Inspection Panels (Pair) In Carbon

My inspector panels are finally here.

I will post lost of pics for people to see, and write a review about them,(mostly good, but there are some minor complaints though).

Btw Carbenfibrecreations, just a heads up. The question about how the carbon was faced in a good direction, you laid it so the checkers / \ on there respective panels panels.

Believe it or not that helps give the illusion of speed.
