Sorry, but the FBI will laugh at you when you're after a guy for $60. Hopefully the guy can just come clean.

^ not entirely true because it is still internet scamming. He has done it to quite a few people and they don't like that.

If you want to pursue charges against him, you would have to start with the local police department for where he lives (that is where any criminal activity took place). Chances are though that they will tell you it is a "civil matter" as in you entered into a contract to purchase items and did not receive them. It isn't theft because you willingly gave him your money and if you get your money back you are no longer the victim of a crime. Depending on local law, it could be considered fraud, but getting anyone to pursue charges could be difficult because the State's Attorney, District Attorney (or whatever your local Government attorney calls him/herself) is going to play devil's advocate by saying that a reasonable amount of time had not passed before you began the process of getting your money back. I doubt the FBI, CIA, or the Secret Service will be too interested, especially if you get your money back from PayPal. Not to say that a crime didn't happen, but they probably need to have a higher $$ amount before they can pursue a case.

Either way, good luck

This is what happend to a board member on oc. I wonder if it could work the same way with a cc???

If he cashed your check I would check to see where he banks (where was it cashed-- on the back). Then contact the police in that city and asked them about "check fraud" and "mail fraud". I'm going through a case like this regarding a money order that was cashed (denied) and the police in his city (in another country!) said they would "pay him a visit". Next thing I knew he shipped me the part! Good luck.

Exclamation

HUGE UPDATE...

Guys don't give up with him. I've informed paypal of all these threads on mr2board and mr2oc . I've sent them all his board names, his fake name and real name. I've sent them links to everything on him. I also told them about everyone that i could find that he ripped off. I just got this from paypal.

Dear LLoyd Coons,

We have concluded our investigation into your claim.

We have decided in your favor and have recovered funds from the seller.
We were able to recover $60.00 USD and this amount has been credited to
you. Please allow five business days for this adjustment to be posted.

If you are due any additional amount from the seller, we will make our
best
effort to recover the balance from the seller.

If the seller's account has insufficient funds to complete the refund
owed
to you, please be assured that we will take appropriate action against
the
seller's account, which may include limitation of the seller's account
privileges.

For one, Hillman bought a turbo from me and said it was bad 1 month later. Im not giving a refund on a turbo he used for a month. Go to autozone and buy something and use it for 30 days and try and return it for a full refund.

You guys got your money back from pay-pal.

Also they have been trying to ban me from mr2oc.com for 2 years and they cant do it, and I have been on there buying and selling and people have no clue its me as I have already build myself up in feedback and posts. I e-mail Bill and told him if he unbans my Cutter user name i will use that that way people know who i am, and will not use any other user names. I e-mailed him quite a few times and got no response. So I had no choice to create new user names, and for the people that know me, like Bill and all the others i have them send the items out of state to a friend. Then he sends the stuff to me. There are always ways to get around it. I will do the same things here, unless you unban me from the forums. If not i will just create a user name (if i didnt already) and build myself up like I have done on mr2oc.com It doesnt matter to me. You guys got your money back, so i dont see why im still not able to post here. Would you rather have me here unknown, new user name, buying and selling with all of you and you dont know its me? Or.... Unban this name that way everyone knows who your dealing with? Same option I gave Bill, and he picked the 1st one not unbanning me. He would $hit if he knew who i was now.... lol. I tol you guys you would get your money back and you did. I already sold the stuff on ebay, and got double for it, so its fine with me.

Yea we got our money back, but you never did what you said you would. You never willingly refunded our money. Paypal had to force you to do it.

They never forced anything. Above i told you you guys paid by pay-pal so no matter what happens you will get your money back. You did. They had the money on hold, and i e-mailed them giving permission to refund the money. It always takes pay-pal a long time to respond to anything.

Regardless....Youve wasted all of our time, and gave us unecesarry bs. That's how u do business? Y didn't u just send us the items? Y did u even waste our time telling us u had what we wanted? U posted in my wtb thread about the shifter. It seemed more like we where lending u the money. And u paid us back after whatever u bought. U could be just bsing that u sold the parts on ebay to make it seem that way. Your a waste of space. Sooner or later you'll get screwed. Paypal said they took the money back from u, cause u never responded. Y didn't u respond if your such an honest seller. It feels good that u can just spit in our faces on here and talk all the **** u want. BUT it'll come back to u. It always does one way or another.
