Unhappy Chopstickz, no more communication...

I’ve been in need of (McCulloch) HID Hi/Lo bulbs (halogen highs & HID low beams) since Friday 8/11, one bulb went out on meet at meet that day. So the next day I contacted greddysetgo to see if he could get me the bulbs, he said he’d check on it… A week went by and I had not heard back from him. So that’s when I remembered that we had someone selling McCulloch HID brand stuff here.
So on Sunday 8/19 I posted in his HID thread to see if I could get some from him. I did not receive a response that day so I e-mailed him on 8/20. I received a reply that same day in the afternoon saying that he could get the bulbs that I needed for $130. I agreed to pay that amount and asked for his Paypal address (I wanted to confirm it was the same one as the one here on the board, which it was). I sent my paypal and put a reminder in there of the type of bulbs that I needed (& wanted). He e-mails me Monday to tell me that the money cleared & that he will ship out on Tuesday.
Tuesday comes around and he e-mails me stating that he will ship the bulbs that day. I respond with how pleased I was with his services, and then he replies back with a tracking number.
I was expecting the package to come in towards the end of the week since he lives in Cali. So Friday (8/25) finally comes and the USPS driver walks in my office to deliver the package. Up to this point I was super happy with his services & his communication.

Well I open the package to admire the new (whiter) bulbs that were soon to be in my car. But much to my surprise I still received the wrong bulbs after describing the bulbs that I wanted in a simplified manner, which I thought it would be difficult for someone who sells HID’s to mess up. A few minutes after opening the package I sent Johnny Lau (aka chopstickz) an e-mail stating that I received the wrong, bulbs & that either way I needed to get the right ones or get a refund & I would send the wrong ones back to him (but not until I heard back from him).

I waited until Sunday before I sent a follow up e-mail… still no reply. Tuesday I sent another follow up e-mail and still no reply! He’s signed onto the board a few times since my purchase through him, on the 20th, the 24th, the 29th & today…. Yet no reply.

I figured it would be easy fix this simple mistake, but it doesn’t look John wants to work with me. I have left negative feedback due to lack of communication after the item was delivered and obviously failure to fix this simple matter.

We PM'd him as well yesterday and he did not respond to our request. He has returned to the board since we sent that PM, so we can only assume he has chosen to ignore the situation. His account has been suspended and limited to only the Feedback forum until the matter is resolved. If there is no commication from him after two weeks, his account will be permanently banned. Please keep us posted on any updates.

If you know of other forums he does business on, post them here, or go to those forums and warn others.

He checked back here on the 31st, so I know he saw this. Did you pay with Paypal? Can you file a claim?

Yeah, I payed with Paypal. Unfortunately from what I've been told by my friends is that paypal probably wont do anything for me since I did receive something from John (albeit it wasn't what I asked for) and he has tracking information to prove so. I'll file a claim tomorrow anyway, hopefully they'll actually do something about it...

I'll update if anything.

Thanks

At the very least, PayPal will make him acknowledge the situation.
