For doing this sort of build, I would have all of the stock electronics set up first. I would get it to fire up and run on the factory ECU, AFM, and TPS. That way you can be 100% positive that your mechanical and ignition timings are correct, that there are no vacuum leaks, or any other sort of electrical gremlin holding you back.

However, I understand that it won't be easy to put that stuff on at this point. So you'll need to go back to the basics. It is my understanding that the Venom is some sort of plug-in piggyback to the factory ECU, correct? You need to be certain that the TPS on the throttle body you are using is compatible with the GZE ECU.

An AW11 NA TPS does not work on an AW11 SC ECU. The sensor pin-out is different, and the resistance values are different. But it uses the same plug, so one may think it is swappable. The same thing goes for the AFM. Lots of AFMs from different manufactuers of the same era use the same plug, not very many use the same pin-out or the same values. Once again, make certain that your AFM of choice is in fact electrically compatible with your system. Another thing to note is that the TPS being out of adjustment, even the width of 2 hairs, can change its baseline reading. It is a VERY precise sensor. It took my father and I the better half of 2 hours to get it adjusted perfectly on my 86SC.

And one last note, the USDM 4A-GZE runs insanely rich from the factory. Even with the biggest overdrive pullies available, you will not max the fuel system. There is no replacement for the factory spark and fuel untill you hang a snail ont he exhaust.

Oh, you better double-check and bleed your coolant again before you pop the head gasket. Simple insurance, and a 15 minute job.
