mk1 sc, worth upgrading to W2A ?
I have an '86 mk1 sc with the 12psi pulley.
Is it worthwhile ditching the stock A2A IC and putting in a W2A ? anyone done this and has advice ? just wonderin if theres any noticeable improvement cheers |

yeah, i know its gonna make the intake charge cooler than the stock IC, but how much of a difference is it really ?
i guess most people to this upgrade along with other things so cant really single out the benefit to this particular change. are we talking a couple hp gain, or 10 or more ? |

hard to tell. i know it can be significant. you're running the 12 psi pulley...plenty of heat generated there!

not worth the money? the set-up doesn't cost THAT much!
i personally am using a dual-pass bar and plate air-to-air IC that does just fine! |

and remember the larger the heat exchange up front, the more effient the system will be. in a engine layout like a aw11, w2a i/c should of been stock!!! |
