Still would need a turbo,a manifold to mount it on, wastegate if the turbo does not have on internal, bigger injectors, different intake don't know for sure if you would want to use the stock one maybe a small port intake would be better, Intercooler a2a or w2a, BOV, all the intake and exhaust piping, a way of controlling fueling, bigger fuel pump, oiling and drain hosing for the turbo. All the 4agze is doing is giving you a better foundation that will support and survive under a boosted condition.

Brent, on the other board ran his stock GZE block at 15 psi and made 235 whp on mega squirt and Supra 440cc injectors. The stock rods are much stronger than people think. I'm running a stock block at 15 psi and have had no issues with it, except for a piston I damaged by not double checking things and trusting other poeple's work.

The kit your looking at, if I am not mistaken, one of the guys here bought one and said it would'nt work on a MR2 because the manifold was too close to rear wall (inch are so too far back) I guess you could beat the wall back but wouldnt do that myself.

They'll handle a lot more than that, Ben Z over in Australia has that 10sec 1/4 mile MK1 and at one point he was making well over 300whp with a completely stock bottom end. From what I've seen and experienced the weak point are the pistons if you don't have propper intercooling and A/F control.

Boy, that was an education in shippping costs.
I'm guessing the block w/o crank goes 175lbs max and would containerize at 30"x18"x20" UPS wanted 202.00 for the South Florida to Birmingham, Al R.L.Trucking (Gator here) 195.00+72 gas=267.00 Looks like shipping heavy is really costly. Perhaps sending pistons and con rods would be cost-effective? Whatta think? Tim |
