Denso Fuel Pump Question

Working on a 4AGZE (USDM) swap into an 86 NA...

I have two fuel pumps to choose from...

1. Denso 195130-0291 that was in the 4AGZE donor car.
2. Denso 195130-0700 that appears to be new and was included when I bought the 4AGZE and a bunch of spares.

I can't find any data on the "-0291" pump and am not sure that this is the "stock" pump for a 4AGZE. I believe the "-0700" pump is rated for 90 ltr/hr.

Which is the better pump? Is either sufficient to support a 4AGZE? The motor will be lightly warmed over with a TRD header and an HKS pulley. No further upgrades in boost are planned in the forseeble future.

Unfortunately, the real deal here is to not to trust no body.

Get the phone book out, call the Parts Dept of your nearest Toyota and make big friends with the first counterman that does not hang up on ya'll.

I'm serious, your gonna need some friends there mighty quick if you keep the car at all.

Better yet Mon, go there, spend $6 to buy a "o" ring for the distributor. (so's you don't start a oil fire when the old dried up o ring gushes oil all over the exhaust manifold. Trust me it will dude.)

While your there, and especially when he's not with a customer!, show him the paper with your part numbers on them and politely, humbly ask for some help. Most of these counterman are "car guys" to start with and like to talk the talk, dig.

Don't ever rely on the crap you get from the internet talk, research your problems, go to the books, technical sheets and specifications and you'll never get screwed over. In the end you'll be the authority 'cause you know what's right.

I've put in 6 fuel pumps in my rides over 19 years, you better be flushin' that tank too. If the tank has sandy rust, slime or (other) do the filter replacement of the firewall as well. Then every 2-3 years change the filter on the pump in the tank. They burn up from clogged filters.

The Denso 195130-0291 is the old and now obsolete stock GZE pump # which has been replaced with a newer pump #. Look at the Denso's web site, they have the new numbers listed and a new GZE pump is only about $105. Denso automotive parts available online at DensoProducts.com

Thanks Papo... Do you know what the specs are on the stock 195130-0291 pump? I found a listing (can't recall where right now) that stated the 195130-0700 pump is rated for 90 liters/hour. Given the choice, I want to use the best one...

Would like to pose a question of how important is fuel pump output volume in stock engine senario?

I've always been lead to believe that pressure is the key, I guess that if the pump can't keep up with the demand that the pressure will drop according?

Is this a real issue in stock engines?
