Mark 1 S/C- IC Regulator-substitute

My SC distributor blew oil seals, puked tons of oil onto my alternator which, in turn, shorted out and fried the IC regulator in the rear trunk.

My Formula 1 mechanic friend suggested we look into his reference books and cross-reference this very, very hard to find TOYOTA part.

Well my Toyota mr2 friends, it turn out this part #223 is also used in a Honda in 82-83 Accord and in Preludes from 83-87. The new part cost me $22, I had to re-pin the connector to match this part which took 40 minutes (never re-pinned before?) and I SAVED $250.

If your interested in this procedure, drop me a line and I'll run the repair down with ya and you can "get'er done" for pennies, 'cause bro you ain't gonna find this Limited Prodution Toyota part in any local car yard.
