MK1 MR2 fuel problems

I've got a MK1 MR2 86' sitting in my back yard..before i got it the guy said it had been sitting outdoors for about a year...it turns over but will not start..i can sit there and spray starter fluid in it and it fires right up everytime..but stalls out quickly after..so my guess its not getting any gas..i need some advise on where to start to see what the problem is..also if i can drain the old gas out of it without taking off the tank..or will i have to completely remove the tank? i have held the AFM door open and i hear a tiny click by the AFM somewhere..i was told it kicks on the fuel pump if you open it..but i dont hear anythign besides that little click. Any help greatly apreciatted..i would love to get this car moving

if you opened up the AFM flap and you dont hear gas running through your lines then most likely its your fuel pump that has gone bad and for that you will have to definitely have to drop the tank.. which is fun..
