Video Game Music

Please tell me I'm not the only one that enjoys listening to them on a daily basis. Post up your favorites.

Chrono Cross - Radical Dreamers:

Metal Gear Solid - Main Theme:

Shadow of the Colossus - The Opened Way:

I'd like to see the Eminence Orchestra in person one day, but that won't be anytime soon since they're in Australia.

I've always enjoyed the music from the Final Fantasy games. I went to a FF symphony in San Francisco a few years ago, it was pretty sweet. It was something like this:

One of my favorite pieces of "modern opera" if you would.

Uematsu is a genius.

I came in here expecting to take a stand on turning the music OFF when playing driving games (as well as when driving seriously). What a pleasant surprise to find something so different.

Some of my other favorites are the soundracks from the Wanderers from Ys games from the Turbografx-16. I have the complete soundtracks to Books 1, 2, 3, & 4 and they're awesome. Here's a sample if you haven't heard:

The Turbografx version was superior because of the CD music, so I try to avoid the other versions, like SNES and Genesis or whatever.

Edit: More, just because it's cool..

^ Nice, I've heard of the Ys but never played it.

Since we're going back, Megaman X anyone?

Damn Sylvan, Disco Dan is badass.

I've never played the Silent Hill series. If you could post up some of the music, that would be sweet.

^ I really enjoyed Theme of Laura.

I love Megaman X, most of my childhood memories was playing it and Gradius III.

I actually ripped and encoded the entire Mega Man X soundtrack into MP3s for a couple of CD's I made for some friend's for Christmas years ago. I'll dig that out of whatever hole its hiding in and rapidshare it to you guys soon. Anyone interested?

I also have the FFVI's and CT's soundtracked ripped, and can do the same to any SNES game you desire. It's pretty easy, so I wouldn't be surprised if some of you guys have done the same sort of thing.

Unless I'm the only ridiculously huge nerd here...
