It really is a kick in the pants. you get to keep that low end grunt, but when you hit boost there is a huge difference. just read up first to see if this is right for you.

he his kit should put down between 160 and 180hp. is that about right or should there be more?

also, is there any transmission upgrade i should do if i decide to turbo my 5sfe or can i use the stock tranny for a while?

i know this is alot of questions but i want to know these things before i make the decision. and seeing how ive never done this before i dont know too much about it. i kinda feel stupid asking all these damn questions.....

That depends on the engine control you choose. there are 5sfte running well over 200 hp. I plan on getting mine dyno'd in the next few weeks, I let ya know.

but 180 sounds about right.

thats about right maybe 190-200 if lucky or depending on how much psi and money put in...As for the tranny you can use your stock one..Thats what I'm doing

tranny will be fine, a new clutch is what you will need.

probably get you by if you just replaced it. but if you still have the stock clutch like me i can verify it will slip the clutch.

good question because i just replaced my clutch 3 weeks ago and ive only driven the car about 85 miles since then.

Yeah I still have stock clutch....Thanks for the info on that Killer, Is there a clutch you recommend??

here's my part list
-HKS BOV SSQV
-CXRacing Intercooler Kit from the 3sgte
-External Wastegate with built in boost controller
-T/3 T/4 Turbo
-ebay turbo manifold
-H&R Racing Springs
-7MGE Injecters 315cc Denso-----dont use these for a t3 t4 turbo
-255cc Walbro Fuel Pump
-MSD BTM piggy back
-Custom down pipe
-Custom dump pipe
-Jegs oil line kit

try this: MR2 Technical Knowledgebase - Adding a Turbo to a 5SFE

This is what I based my build after. little upgrades i have to the list are SAFC2, FPR, walbro 255, blitz exhaust.
