Speaking of: The oil in the clip is CLEAN. There are oilchange stickers inside the filler door that indicate oil changes up to about 35k miles. Hard to believe, but the dipstick is indicating full here: Not even "normal" oil residue in the boost tubes: Came with keyless entry: Ok....To work on this thing, the first step was to get it off the skid. To do this, I attached the lift to the tow loops. I used the motor mount bolts. I found that the lugnuts off a 1995 Nissan truck fit perfectly on the other end. I lifted it straight up on its face and put some bricks under it temporarily for jack stands. While I had easy access, I removed the suspension and subframe. After those parts were gone, I removed the exhaust hangers (good shape) and placed a 4x4 across the bricks that the unibody could rest on. I lifted the front with a jack and a 4x4 in the center tunnel, then I placed the front on jackstands. After this, I felt it was very safe to work on. I could not budge it at all. I took a few steps and jumped up against it and it didn't flinch. Now I can be comfortable working under it. I have 1-2 hours of work until the engine is ready to drop. |

Hey man I found out my problem, my car works now. It was the ECU, and the Fuel Pump.
If I pinch the fuel return line I can run the car, but if i leave it normally, it will die out. So i purchased a walbro pump, and it should hopefully be here this week. |

Need help.
I need stock gen3 intake pieces. Both segments of the tubes between the airbox and the turbo. I bought one from jebsleo, but the canucks lost it in the mail.
![]() I'm going to be waiting on these pieces at this point to get my swap going. I've got a lot of new pics to get uploaded soon. Thanks. |

Does it have to be stock? I can't see why it does. I think I still have this laying around somewhere.

Hey Tyler, I have a Gen 3 wiring harness here and I need to see if it's complete because some one needs it. Do you think we could compare notes?

Clip desposal and clutch
I sawed the car in half and hauled it off. 240LB netted me $8.40 and it won't end up in the landfill.
The stock clutch was fine...good as new even. The factory machining marks were still present. I roughed it up and cleaned it off...no need to resurface. I also replaced the throw-out bearing and re-lubed everything. Clip disposal: |

Edit....here is a teaser pic. I have everything ready to go and I'm just working on rewiring the 93na body harness to work with the Gen 3. It really doesn't seem to be as big a deal as people make it out to be. Ask me again when its running. ![]() I was able to buy a brand spankin new set of 94+ tails with the proceed from selling uneeded clip parts. Last edited by Tyler H; 05-13-2005 at 09:04 PM. |

IT LIVES! MUAHAHAHA
Good: Started right up Idles and revs smoothly no abnormal noises AC still works great after 8 months of downtime Walbro makes LESS noise than the stock pump did Bad: I didn't trust myself to solder connections until I saw it run, so now I have to go back and solder and heat-shrink all of the connectors. Idles at 1K, 1400 if the AC is on. Still waiting on a replacement exhaust from an MR2oc board member. 4 wires from the ECU 22-p have no corresponding function I can find on my car. Starts even without the FPR hooked up (WTF?) I think I may have wired it into the fuel pump cicuit behind the circuit-opening relay. Can't figure out how the freaking stock intake is supposed to be installed. I may have the wrong airbox. I will solve all of these issues before I drive it. I'll get a new tag for it tomorrow. |

The cruise control is no prob. Mine doesn't work, because I didn't reinstall the actuator. I did put all of the proper wiring in place for it just in case. Does yours not work, or are you just getting things squared away?
I think that using the stock gen3 uncut body harness requires more work and causes more problems than just rewiring the 93na harness. I'll let you know once my car is 100%, but so far the only problem that I've had is that my car starts without the FPR hooked up. My car runs perfect, haven't had any engine problems since the swap, and runs like I would guess a 34k motor should run. I just think since I might be leaving it stock the gen3 would better, after hearing about/seeing other peoples' gen3's
