Is it running yet? If so, please update that doc and send it back over so we can compare notes. My car is running fine, but I want to track down and differences and try to get a final version of the doc. Then we can spam it everywhere to send the big FU to secretive swap shops.

ya she runs great and everything is hooked up and functioning properly, ic fan, fuel pump relay adn resistor, the front thermostat, cruse cointrol tps line and powersteering ecu and a couple few other things i cant remember that were left out or marked as "unknown"....
i ended up cutting open the engine harness and the body harness to get to the right wires. but in the end its all worth it. only thing i have noticed that was wrong was the engine harness did not have the "AB" terminal in teh diag. box so i cant clear my airbag light yet but thats about to be fixed

Update...The car has performed flawlessly for almost a year now. I've changed the fluids and that's it.

I'll be driving it to Roebling Road for the Memorial Day event, tracking it, and driving it home.

Is there a guide or something to do the wiring or any parts of it, that there is a link for?

So whats the general consensus on the wiring? Does everyone re-pin the existing body harness and engine harness to get the engine running? And then cut and splice to get a few of the accesories to work? cc, a/c etc.

jesus christ, after reading this i have decided that i am definetly positively not doing my swap myself...

maybe someday ill be at that level, but right now... no way in hell..

i was cool up until the part where you got the clip lol.
maybe itll be cheaper if i drop the engine myself , besides i wanna clean that whole thing up before putting the new engine in there... and i wanna definetly clean out the engine itself and make it all sexy before putting iit in...

i wonder how much a decent mechanic would charge me to install the engine and do the wiring if i already had the car with the engine dropped from both the clip and my car, just ready to install everything clean and stuff lol.

time to shop around i guess.

1000+ for a swap labor plus parts would be a going rate, you can find some lower and several higher

If you want to scan and email it to me or fax it I could type it up again and post in HTML someplace so people can use it.
