I had a spare later when I got to go play I noticed that the barring was very greezy and looked su****ious... THEN noticed that the retaining ring had one end broken off of it and was beat to hell and also say a nice dent in the "new" barring.
Not feeling too confident I ran a lil test and shook the hub to see if it was loose, it didn’t seem to be so I put it on the car and after tightening on the wheel found sure enough it was loose. a long stream of profound language came out of my mouth as I proceeded to call my dad to vent and let him know I will never outsource any other work for any of my cars unless im standing there watching!!! Arrrrrrrr so I have stopped by Toyota and got a print out showing them that the bearings and knuckles from the turbo and non turbo are the same part... there was a bit of concern about that when I was explaining what I wanted to do
That sucks when someone doesn't know how to use a press and they jack it up. I replaced the bearings in my front knuckles at Falwell and our press worked great, you just have to line everything up right with plenty of lube and those timken's go in straight and smooth. I still have to do my back ones too...another weekend perhaps.

Haven't visited in a while. I still have the excel sheet somewhere. I did indeed get all of my problems wrapped up.

The car was great up until the point that I wrecked it.

After that, I sold the engine / chassis to another member, who put it in their car. Last I heard it put down 292whp stock with just and intake and exhaust. That was the last I heard of it, and that was maybe 18 mo ago.

I recently got sucked back into MR2s, when I acquired a 91NA with a blown motor. I'm on the hunt for a healthy 5S, just to get it roadworthy.

Once it's back on the road and the suspension and brakes are sorted out, I might get the bug to get another Gen3 clip. I'm confident that I could do the swap in weekend now, and I'm still a firm believer in using the NA body harness.

I noticed that several of the pics are dead now. I'll be glad to assist you Gen3 swappers if I can.

Thanks!
