Safety Equipment
For those of you that are into Autox, Drag Race,Rally, HPDE and WtW what safety equipment are you using?
Currently aside from the factory stuff all I've got in my car is a pair of CG Locks. I have a harness bar in the works and intend to pick up a 5 point harness as soon as possible but I have to solve the seat problem first.

All factory at the moment. It'll probably stay that way for awhile, too, while I work on some other priorities.

good thing you went with a 5 point, 4 isn't safe. get a harness bar, and some nice name brand racing seats and your pimp.

The pimp is just in case you feel like picking up some extra cash along the way?
![]() Regarding 4 point harnesses, they aren't all unsafe. I am a big fan of the Schroth 4 point ASM (anti-submarine) belts. |

. im a huge fan of schroth, my brother had a 5 point set up in his 89 firebird, awsome belts. I've been told that if you go to a track with a 4 point harness it's not allowed because you need a 5 point to have the belt go thru your legs because it will prevent you from sliding under the belt and getting hurt. apparently you can only run the stock 3 point or a 5-point when racing on a track. oh and Schroth = big time money, so you have to be big ballin if you want to afford some of those belts . |

Whether or not the belts are allowed at the track will depend on the rules of the organization running the event. NASA will allow the Schroth 4-point ASM belts as long as they were made and tested specifically for your car. Unfortunately the MR2 is not on that list.
