2 Dead MR-2s
I have an 85, 2 86s, and an 87 MR-2. That's 4 MR-2s. One 86 and the 87 have new fuel pumps in them (fun job, huh?). Neither gets fire to the plugs and neither is getting fire to the fuel pump. One quit suddenly while the other would start and run fine until you shut it off then it would start or not start depending on it's "mood". In one instance the car blew or I blew the 20 amp ignition fuse in the engine compartment trying to fix it. I think the 2 cars are having the same problem. Has anyone had any problems like this? What do I need to suspect other than the wiring?
I love my toy cars, but they are all busted. |

I had same problem with my 93 MR2. No spark, no fuel pump. Was blowing the AM2 fuse intermitetly. Turned out to be the clutch interlock switch on the pedal. I bypassed it and all was well. It was a B*** to find the problem.
