Unusual RPM.
So I recently replaced the alternator belt, the alternator.
I drive my car around for a little bit, and then the rpm reading would drop. It would drop down to 500 and come back up to around 1k or so. But sometimes it would drop so low that the engine would just die. Anybody has an idea of what might be going on?? I know my spark wires are kind of old and are mis-matched, so I'm wondering if changing them would have any good effect? The spark plugs are under the same thought too. But would this be something that fixing the timing for the car would solve ? |

Sounds like a fuel problem.

I asked a friend and he said vacuum leak.
I'm going to replace the vacuum lines with a newer one. Let's see how that will turn out. |
