You're talking about glasspack mufflers? You have to break those in?

yea there is fiberglass in them. and when you break the fiberglass it is counted as "breaking it in". and when that happens it sounds nice. my friend has on with no resonator on his 1988 carolla. and that sounds pretty nice

Drive for about 20-30 mins. till they get nice and warm then spray water inside the tail pipe... it breaks the fiberglass inside.

mine took a few weeks of regular drivng. Before, it was so loud your voice vibrated when you were in the car. It has quietened alot since then but still sounds alright. I still wanna change it because I really dont want that much attention from the fuzz.

there is no break in on glass packs, the only mufflers that i know of that need break in are high end stainless mufllers because stainless warps so bad when it gets hot so you have to cycle it a few times.
