Headlights being weird!
Hit a large bump in the road, and both headlights stopped working. Pulled in, killed the engine, started up again and both headlights came on, but REALLY dim. When I switch to full beams the right hand light goes out completely and the left one comes on as normal...
Anybody come across this type of fault before??? ![]() |

new headlight system
sounds like you got a bad ground somewhere, dont quote me on this. Ive got an 86 mk1 that might be getting parted out, and all the body electrical still works, engine wont fire up after i did a head gasket on it. found other major issues with car/body(its a rustbucket). if you want any of the headlight parts, let me know so i can pull them off the car. switch, retracter cm, all work! just make an offer

My car is also a rustbucket, but at this stage its cost me so much to find that out i cant justify scrapping it. I'm over in Ireland by the way, so would probably be as well visiting the local breakers, thanks for the offer! ![]() |
