Short answer no.

Long answer is what I just told another member but the other way round. You need a t-top to make a t-top because you chop off the pillars in the exact same place and weld back together which would mean you already had a t-top so you would defeat the purpose of doing it. And yes I have done it but for a different reason. It was a rolled car that I fixed for a friend, the roof was crushed but body except for passenger door was perfect.

No you can't, messing with the roof will just mess it up

get the car you want the way you want it, if you don't want a sunroof then don't buy it

You don't want a T-top version really. . . . I have the only MR2 MK I in the state of Oregon that does not leak rain. And that is because I ripped out everything to do with the T-top and resealed it, and adjusted the hardware. Then after it still leaked I resealed it a couple more times. I'd pimp my wife for a hardtop.

lol dont pimp ur wife. i just like the looks of a t-top better than a sunroof. i got an 86 mr2 with a sunroof for free and a friend of mine has the t-tops to an mr2 that was wrecked thats why i was wondering if it would be an easy job or not.
