Tranny Fluid..

What kind of tranny fluid is best for an AW11 with a c50 tranny??
and how many quarts do i need so it can be happy ..
i kinda need the info now.. i just finished swapping transmissions and bolting everything up so i need to add fluid but i dont know what kind or how much.

GL4 75w-90
I think the NA trans takes about 4quarts

which one did you get, most off the shelf gear oil are GL-5 for differentials which is too "slippery" for proper syncro engagement in transmissions.

I heard about that but haven't really seen like an advertisement about it. I saw Royal Purple on speed channel one time and how they explained in details about it and how its made so I thought that was the oil to use. Hella expensive tho...

MT90 is good stuff, I think royal purple have gl-4 also, both should be great. I wish they still stock regular gl-4 gearoil on shelf instead of these expanisve synthetic gear lube, I like to change my lube regularly.

Advertisements are about the last thing you should consider when buying any product. Marketing can make any product look excellent...

Royal Purple is great, as is MT-90. With MT-90, you pay for the oil, not the advertising.

haha ya i spent about an hour just researching what kind and how much does an aw11 take.. until i found it on the New Zealand mr2 forums i was afraid they might of not had redline in the states but i heard it works really good with any car..
